How to Apply

The Hudson Valley National Foundation supports organizations where it can have the greatest impact. Preference is given to charities and organizations with a local focus. Most grants do not exceed $1,000. To apply for a grant, charities must submit a letter including:

  • The name and address of the organization
  • Contact information, including name, address, telephone number and e-mail address
  • A list of the members of its Board of Trustees and their affiliations
  • A description of the organization, including its mission and programs
  • The amount of the grant requested
  • A description of how the grant will be used
  • Proof of their tax exempt status as a charitable organization, including a 501(c) certificate

Letters should not exceed two pages, but may be accompanied by collateral material.
